Thank you, the blue treatment was Mara’s idea and I agree it worked well and yes they did kind of cut a swathe through the people walking along the street.

When I quickly glanced at the blue jackets, I read it as ‘Polite’ Police 😉
And my post was a little less than polite…
I first thought it was “Polite Police” as well.
I wandered the streets of Washington, DC, yesterday and noticed that the security level must have been heightened, as there were tons of regular duty officers, Secret Service, Park Police and other uniformed security personnel out in force — along with automatic weapons at the ready. That’s a sight we *never* saw prior to 9/11.
Sounds a bit like London where the Police carry weapons that look like something out of a Terminator movie, Brussel is not too bad, my shot is about as far as it goes unless the US President is in town of course and then we have APCs and water cannon on the streets…
