This is just scary. Battered old stone women/androgynes. Funny how the second from above has a coin slot in her nose. I’m terrified.
They are the creepiest statues in town. Totally neglected. Their rough edges faces could tell some stories? By the way, I also shot a bunch of people waiting for a bus…
Bus people’s ass shots? Would do. You should send some to Lucile, she might be having a withdrawal already.
Anyway, I prefer rough-edged people’s faces to stone faces. The photos are impressive but way too depressing. Says a person who enjoys depression.
Scratches rough edged face, gazes into mirror, and reflects…
You should shoot yourself.
I will although the not ready to die yet, way too much to live for.
Don’t get any ideas; I was of course talking about shooting as by the camera. Your blog probably wouldn’t be much fun if you shot yourself otherwise.
Amongst other reasons.
Those are somewhat creepy esp the ones with missing noses. One with a slot!? Then the last one. I love taking photos of statues but somehow these ones seem rather macabre lol xx
More Belgian humour. Living here demands a well developed sense of irony.
I love irony and anything unusual really :d
Certainly need a sense of irony here!

Creepy, freaky, terrifying. Love it. How cool is that second last one, where he’s looking down at you under his arm? That one looks like he turned as you took the shot and who know what will happen next?!?!!!
I had a recurring childhood nightmare. It came alive in a park in Brussel today…
Wow. That’s a cool concept! But you survived. Hurrah!
To fight another day…
Double hurrah!!
Oh…and thank you!!!
they look as if they could directly jump into a horror movie
They are… It’s called living in Brussel…with no one to care about them…
As Mara said, these statues look creepy. They look like they are watching the town *shiver*
It is so typical of Brussel, edgy and quirky.
I love the one before last, who was scared of you…
Well I was shooting her…
With such reaction, she might be a cyborg…
I do hope I am not scaring any cyborgs…
Look at her face….
Ambigious.
Confirmed. She’s a cyborg from Patagonia spending the weekend In Brussels.
That would make for an interesting shoot.
