In Spring these woods host an ethereal carpet of bluebells.

Today, on a warm Autumn afternoon, I chose to lose the colour.

Trees.

Forests.

Places to lose oneself for a moment.

Stop.

Look.

Listen.

Breathe.

Cover Art Revisited

This weekly photo challenge, hosted by Pete Rosos, was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed taking a slightly off piste approach to the challenge. Pete was generous enough to include my contribution in his post along with some of the other great entries…

I have signed up for the Wordpress Photography 101 course which runs through November.

I will also post a photo a day as part of NaBloPoMo, November 2014.  This is a taster.

Gazing up through the trees in Hallerbos.

Unexpected.

Probably one of the most photographed places, off the beaten tourist trail, in Belgium.

A tale of corporate morals, failed vision, spirited resistance, brutality.

People still live here.

The rest of us, with our cameras, watch and wonder, or worse.

Doel.

A nightmare in the middle of prosperity.

Progress?

caravane culturelle syrienne

A “pop up” street gallery, Syrian art in the heart of Brussel.

The caravan is touring various parts of Europe revealing, through art and engagement, the life of the people suffering behind the scenes.

Images blowing in the wind need little explanation.
