“can a man of perception respect himself at all?”

Treasure is transitory, illusory.
One person’s treasure is another person’s junk.
What was once treasured now gathers dust on the shelf, in the attic, basement, on the table at the flea market.
The real treasure is what we hold inside us.
The feelings we have, for people, places, times.
The memories and hopes that can never turn to dust.
Treasure.

Whoever knows how to speak to them, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth.

Trees snatched through the window of a speeding car.

Full of possibility.

Catching a moment to read whilst the world rushes by.
This is a very experimental shot.

“Sealand forgets her friends
She’ll not leave them again
Mother, sister and home
These arms fail you so”
Sealand – OMD – “Architecture and Morality” – 1981
This place has quite a history.
Today’s challenge was to present architecture in mono.
Faced with a hectic day, the temptation to dig out an archive shot was strong, I have a large collection of such shots.
But…I wanted to enter into the spirit of things!
So, before leaving for work this morning, I stepped out into the rain and grabbed this grainy shot of the EU Parliament with my iPhone and then edited it with Silver Efex Pro.
I have featured this building, which is right outside my front door, in other posts and will again.
