Today’s challenge was to present architecture in mono.
Faced with a hectic day, the temptation to dig out an archive shot was strong, I have a large collection of such shots.
But…I wanted to enter into the spirit of things!
So, before leaving for work this morning, I stepped out into the rain and grabbed this grainy shot of the EU Parliament with my iPhone and then edited it with Silver Efex Pro.
I have featured this building, which is right outside my front door, in other posts and will again.

I really like the angle you shot this!
Thank you, I could, and perhaps should, spend hours photographing this building!
lovely monochrome 🙂
Thank you!
Ha! The EU Parliament! This is getting educative 😀
I think a previous comment about vanishing points was a good summary of the political situation at times….
Great capture. I really should stop there once instead of commuting pass it every day.
Thank you David, it is a fascinating neighbourhood to live in…
The angle makes the shot here.
Thank you, I agree that it made a grainy, fuzzy, shot taken on the run, more interesting, sometimes photos taken without too much thought are more satisfying, at least for the photographer…
Agreed. Very dynamic.
Thanks Mitch.
This shoot with great light and stripes should work very nice without disturbing angle.
Maybe I got a little carried away with my wacky angles, it was a bit experimental, I am going through an experimental phase with #photo101 🙂 thanks for taking a look and commenting, really appreciate it!
