Thank you Helene, must confess with this and the last v blurry shot I resorted to tweaking a bit with Photoshop to find the effect I wanted, not sure if that is ‘pure’ photography but it is fun to experiment and get feedback – so thank you again!
I agree, where it helps to convey the idea in my head, I have “rescued” quite a few shots that way, although I’m not good enough to go too far with the software which is probably a good thing!
Mmm…I would love to claim some magical or “alien” power but the down to earth truth is they are miniatures with a little tilt shift love from photoshop…x
You see i had never heard of miniatures and tilt shift sounds like a bedroom move more than a photographic so not wanting to show up my complete lack of knowledge (which i now have done) i looked it up and now i ‘actually’ inadvertantly learned something from you so now i am indebted 🙂 i found this site too its fun: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/11/16/beautiful-examples-of-tilt-shift-photography/

I never frown on editing; it can make some pretty average shots look amazing!

I can’t even use photoshop haha – I use Picasa (a google program) so I know that feeling! Have a great day 🙂
I only use a fraction of what Photoshop can do…hope you have a great day also 🙂
It’s still pure photography. In the old days photographers tweaked and freaked in the darkroom. Nowadays we use software.
Well said!
Nice perspective 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Brilliant picture! It looks like the platform is floating on water?
I’ve always adored the craftsmanship behind these miniatures 🙂
Thank you! The figures were marching along the edge of a miniature harbour… 🙂
How on earth did you do that they look like toys or insects? So so small….i had to do a double take when i saw that photo, great one..mistifying lol x

Maybe I learned something here too and need to get out more 😉
Haha reslly whys that? Me thinks you get out a lot from the photos you take 🙂
An enigma…
Oh me thinks not. If your an enigma i must be Enigmarissus! Heard of her?
I have now 😉
Winks
If you say enigma fast enough over and over it sounds like enema. Says a lot and dont ask me how i came across this life changing piece of info
A “tilt shift” moment perhaps? 🙂
Could i say thats slightly debauched? Lol
Now, there’s a theme for a post… 😉
Shall we include aliens? Note i say ‘we’
Of course…
Dine deal haha
I like this one too! I love the large figures among them, striding like giants through the scene!
Thank you again!
